Some little girls grow up bad but some are just born that way. Alice came into the world unloved. Bouncing from foster home to foster home she never experienced love in even the most basic of ways. As Alice changed from child into a woman she still failed to receive that fairytale romance she so desperately needed. Try as she may to find that love it seems to be just out of reach. As those poor misfortunate souls that fail to requite her love, they pay for it with a world of pain and torture.

Alice’s story collides with one of her co-workers, Abigail. Abigail and her boyfriend, Alex, have that fairytale romance that Alice is so desperately trying to find. As Abigail catches onto her boyfriend’s plan to propose, she comes up with a scheme to test her soon-to-be fiancée’s fidelity. And who better to play the bait in the scenario... Alice.

Now, Alice finds herself face-to-face with the one thing she’s always wanted-

True love.

As Alice becomes more disillusioned in her make believe world of true love she’ll stop at nothing to ensure nobody takes Alex from her.

And Abigail finds herself on the brink of losing the man she loves.

Or at least some of him...

FORGIVING THE FRANKLINS is the hilarious and absurd tale of what happens to a conservative North Carolina family after the burden of Original Sin is lifted from them through Divine Intervention.

Before the fortunate catastrophe of a car crash changes them forever, The Franklins are passionless American stereotypes living unfulfilling but picture-perfect lives. Frank’s a lawyer, Betty’s a homemaker, Brian’s a high school football hero, and Caroline’s a cheerleader. Not a one of them is genuinely contented in the roles they play.

After the accident, Frank, Betty and Brian emerge from a collective

coma, reborn into a life without shame. Much to the horror of Caroline, who escaped the coma, her family’s repressed sexuality is unleashed and on display for anyone who’d care to look.

The community they live in doesn’t quite appreciate The Franklin’s new way of embracing life, which leads to a dramatic conclusion you’ll never see coming.

If you’re in the mood for a movie that constantly surprises, delights and leaves you thinking when it’s over, hop in bed with The Franklins tonight. They’ll be happy to teach you a few new tricks.

Howie Skora’s internationally acclaimed documentary film “Nick Name and The Normals”. The film, which has played throughout Europe, Central America and the US, had its world premiere at the 2004 British Film Institute's London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival and its US premiere in New York City at Newfest. This Rockumentary tells the story an ex-Mormon missionary from Logan, Utah who transformed into notorious gay punk Rocker, Nick Name. It follows Nick and his testosterone fueled tour around the world with his straight band mates. “Nick Name and The Normals” hits stores on Tuesday, August 28th, 2007.

Nick Name and The Normals tells the story of Kent James, an ex-Mormon missionary from Logan, Utah who transformed into openly gay punk rocker, Nick Name. This Rockumentary follows Nick and his straight band mates, “the Normals” on their testosterone fueled gay-pride tour around the world (including San Francisco, Los Angeles, London and Las Vegas) singing songs with hardcore lyrics, and taunting unreceptive heteros and uptight homos in equal measure. Between getting kicked off stage and fighting homophobia (as well as the new gay political correctness), Nick Name must start to confront his own psychological demons the haunt him from his religious past. Writer-director Skora paints a remarkable portrait of this man using concert footage, interviews with his band-mates (Morris and Rattner), manager (Lucky) and former collaborators (Helmut and Ryzie). And he really goes after Nick himself with the camera, never letting him dodge tough questions or situations as he follows him for a year on tour.

Besides being entertaining, funny and possessing an amazing soundtrack of music, Nick Name and the Normals is an eye-opening examination of homophobia and how badly religion can damage as

much as it claims to heal. Nick is an angry, shaven-headed muscle boy; nasty, sexy, masculine, foul mouthed and with an attitude that would scare most people off. But, as the camera forces uncomfortable situations and questions, a much softer, more vulnerable side of the artist emerges. Underneath the anger is an innocent and kind young man who wanted to serve his faith but could not live in a lie. Raised in a strict Mormon home and the Church of Latter Day Saints, he went on a mission to Argentina before realizing his faith’s own hypocrisy. Nick’s anger slowly seems more and more justified as he emerges as having more integrity than the other “religious gays” in the faith that stayed closeted (whom he met during his mission). And, we see Nick’s own ambivalence about his gay identity and his struggle to integrate his own contradictions as both an artist and a human being in that both worlds, straight and gay, seem to punish him for being fully self-expressed. In the film, Nick is not only a victim of homophobia; he seems to be equally rejected by “mainstream” gays”.

The film poses the question that, as gays struggle to become more “mainstream” are they threatened by political anger? Nick Name and the Normals, provides a very necessary image for gay men today-a masculine gay man who not only struggles with the straight world, but who also struggles with the gay world and his own place in it. Unlike the imagery of most media which provides stereotypes, Nick Name and The Normals, provides a hero that is masculine, angry and looking for answers. Imagery that is sadly lacking in most “gay films” today which seem more interested in re-affirming stereotypes. Editor/Director Howard Skora’s mastery of the camera and skilled editing tells this complex and riveting story behind this sexy and notorious gay punk rocker and revolutionary.

We meet Kerry Mitchell, an unemployed actor, spending his days auditioning for commercials for products that one doesn't discuss on prime time, and earning money as a Carl the Talking Carrot for kids' birthday parties. Unhappy with this dismal state of affairs, Kerry Mitchell and his Manager decide they must take drastic action if he is ever to reach any semblance of success and avoid total humiliation. At the same time the star of the popular television show, Espionage, Lance Hardcastle has a tragic accident that takes his life and puts his hit show at risk.

With the Espionage producers and network looking for a quick replacement, Kerry Mitchell and his manager grab their opportunity for the big break. Using his sexuality (gay) as an advantage instead of a hindrance; push Kerry Mitchell to the front of the line for the replacement of Lance Hardcastle. Both the Producers and the Network think that using an openly gay actor to portray TV's first gay spy hero would be a daring move, unique enough to create a momentum of publicity to make the tragic accident yesterday's news.

Idol follows Kerry, plucked from obscurity, through his crazy week of preparations before being unveiled to the public as America's number

one spy hero. We meet the staff—the flamboyant publicist, the controlling manager, the manipulating producers, hair and make-up people, the co-star who was passed over for the lead, and the head of the brash cable network. And we hear plenty of testimonials from fans on the street and the almost famous in and around Hollywood as to their admiration for the deceased star and their loyalty to the hit show that must go on.

With the successes of Brokeback Mountain and Capote it may seem that the American public has embraced gays in the media. But is America really ready for TV's first openly gay action hero? Or has the network taken a bigger risk than it can pull off even with a massive publicity push? More importantly, Kerry Mitchell has a secret that's going to change everyone's perception of gay and straight, and sorely test the network's ability to control the spin.

Idol is in the same vein as Christopher Guest's Best in Show and Griffin Dunne's Lisa Picard is Famous. The Idol actors improvise their way hilariously through an already absurd scenario, providing ever more fuel and wit. Idol makes the viewer laugh his or her way toward deciding whether the public has really yet left the closet. It's a 90 minute ride that hits hilariously close to home and Hollywood.

The film follows the lives of a most unusual family: 2 white HIV negative gay men and their family of 5 kids. 4 of them have AIDS, 3 are black, 2 come from a backwater cult in Oregon, and one of the children has been in the middle of one of the most hotly debated issues in this country: Gay adoption. We follow these delightful men through the highs and lows of their 18 year struggle to raise this amazing family. While th facts may be grim, their family is full of joy, laughter, the bustle of activity, and a well-honed sense of irony that keeps them all healthy, happy and immune from those who would have them disbanded. People are constantly surprised by the amount of laughter and joy that comes out of the theatres presenting this film. We invite you to join the ranks that have called this film a wonderfully life affirming experience.
