Indie-Pictures has developed a model of distribution specifically designed to support the independent filmmaker, challenge many of the existing assumptions about distribution of independent films, and create opportunities for both films and filmmakers which have until now not existed.

Conceived by the team of industry professionals involved with the highly praised independent feature THE GRAFFITI ARTIST, this effective and distinctive distribution paradigm is being made available to the industry at large through the creation of Indie-Pictures.

Indie-Pictures offers:

● A fundamental commitment to bringing rewards back to the filmmaker rather than directing them toward building a distribution company that consumes more funds than it generates.

● Operating in a way that provides the opportunity to involve the filmmaker in every stage of distribution, from designing DVD’s to creating and implementing marketing strategies.

● Following a carefully orchestrated “stage” model for distribution, starting with DVD release and placement in a national network of DVD outlets and leading toward theatrical release – always with the active involvement of the filmmaker.

● Providing a marketing environment that respects the individuality of the cinematic product does not over-commercialize or allow the film to get lost in the needs of the distribution mechanism.

New technology and an ever changing marketplace have provided the conditions for a much needed revision in the distribution paradigm, shifting the balance from a distribution company oriented one to a filmmaker friendly one.

Our mission is to better serve the entire independent film world, including the audience, by creating increased opportunities for both films and filmmakers. Many films disappear almost as soon as they are completed because standard distribution companies do not see the potential for sufficient profits to justify their taking them on. Even more filmmakers settle for an advance in return for signing over the total rights to their films for time periods so long that they functionally have eliminated any options they might have in relation to the film or its marketing.
